Ailbhe Reddy returns with ‘Between Your Teeth’ the second track to be taken from her upcoming debut album, ‘Personal History’, set for release on Friday 2nd October 2020.

Following on from the recent success of ‘Time Difference’, Reddy once again returns to the subject of long-distance relationships on ‘Between Your Teeth’ with her observational, kitchen-sink style lyrics to the fore once again ‘I think too much / I think for both of us’.

The gap between expectations and reality collided for Ailbhe as she took the train to Gatwick Airport on her way home to Dublin from a studio session in London. It was on this train journey that the lyrics for ‘Between Your Teeth’ were penned.

It’s about the frustration of being unable to communicate in a relationship,” says Ailbhe. “Both people hold things back because they either don’t want, or don’t know, how to express themselves.  While travelling alone I always spent a lot of time thinking too much about past conversations and wondering what words were being held back between another person’s teeth.”

Ailbhe Reddy will celebrate the release of ‘Personal History’ with an album launch show in The Workman’s Club on Friday, 2nd October 2020.
