After the resounding success of our second #GoldenBeck gig last month (see photos here), we are back to bring you the third in our series of ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents…’ gig nights in the The Workmans Club, Dublin.
This month we have planned a really special night that the whole GP crew is happy to present. For May, we have GoldenPlec Plec Pick 2014 – Orla Gartland, the affable storyteller Paddy Hanna, Other Voices star Sive and finally Portmarnock Prince Jack Ryan.
We’ve long been promoting Irish music and every great thing about it. So it’s about time we got together some of the amazing Irish talent and put on some seriously fucking good music nights. We have some amazing nights lined up over the next few months so stay tuned and enjoy ‘GoldenPlec & Claire Beck Presents’.

Orla Gartland
One of our Plec Picks 2014 (see full feature here – warning: includes limes), who we have been backing for some time now, has freed up some time between recording and playing shows in America to come over and play our third #GoldenBeck gig. Having recently released her ‘Roots’ EP, we all look forward to catching Orla’s brand of catchy singer songwriter pop in The Workmans.
Paddy Hanna
Paddy Hanna (Grand Pocket Orchestra/No Monster Club/Ginnells) has shown us a surprising new side with his debut solo album Leafy Stiletto. We’re looking forward to this talented storyteller joining us on the #GoldenBeck stage. Check out his new song Amsterdam (released yesterday here) which is now free to download alongside his track Rattling Chains.
Sive
We’re very proud to welcome Sive to our third #GoldenBeck gig. Sive has been no stranger to us here at GoldenPlec having helped out with our charity endeavours with Coast to Coast; Tea & Toast 2012 and an appearance at our Knockanstockan Tea & Toast Jam in 2013 – it’s safe to say that she has had her fill of toast and tea from us here at GP. Having seen her thrill and delight alone on RTE as part of Other Voices (check it out below), we look forward to her full band this time around.
Jack Ryan
Having just released his ‘Take me to the River’ EP, we are very happy to welcome along Jack Ryan for his first taste of all things GoldenPlec. Jack and his band bring along a wealth of gigging experience to thrill our third #GoldenBeck audience.
