Banquet turns 1 year old

Banquet celebrate their 1st birthday this Saturday and have confirmed one of our favourite live acts Le Galaxie to play for them.

Of course all the usual fun and Banquet DJs will be present to ring in the turning of one year of great music. That’s Saturday 28th April in The Button Factory. Gwan, go celebrate with them.


King Twit announce tour follow EP release

King Twit have just announced the release of the debut EP ‘Bicycle’ and will be gigging around Ireland in support of their new material. The tour dates cover Dublin, Cavan, Monaghan, cork, West Meath and Wexford with more to be added soon.

Our Krypton Son to play The Stags Head Raw

This Sunday will see hotly tipped act from up north, Our Krypton Son heading down south to play at The Stags Head Raw. There is support on the night from Fear Of Folk and The Quicksand Band.

its on Sunday April 29th and admission is just €8 or €6 for students. Doors at 8pm.


Dead Label to support Machine Head

Kildare metal merchants Dead Label have announced that this coming May 28th they will be supporting Machine Head for their two Irish date.

As you may know, Machine Head will drop in on May 28th to Belfast’s Ulster Hall and then May 30th will see them in Dublin to play The Olympia Theatre. Dead Label will open both nights. Their debut album ‘Sense Of Slaughter’ is available in HMV now.

If you fancy catching them around the country, below is some more dates they are playing in the build up to the support slots.

Paul Kelly returns to play Whelans

It’s a return to Ireland for Paul Kelly after coming to play his A to Z show in The Sugar Club last year which spanned four nights. This saw over 100 songs over 4 nights with no one night the same.

He returns for just the one gig this time, in Whelans on Saturday 18th August. Tickets for the show are €23 inclusive of booking fee and are on sale Monday 30th April at 9am. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.ie, Tickets.ie and Whelanslive.com.

This gig will be limited unreserved seating.


Dead School announce Irish tour dates

Following the release of their new single ‘Incisions’, their third single to date, Dead School are to head out on tour from this weekend before recording their debut album later this year.

On the route they have Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Cork, Tullamore, Clonmel before hitting festival season where they will play Indiependence, Ballinamore Free Fringe Festival and Junction Festival amongst others.

So-So Sailors have been onto us and want to share this new track which they have made available for FREE download from their soundcloud.
