Nana Mouskouri returns to live performance with a tour to celebrate her 80th birthday.

The legendary singer will bring her new show to Dublin to play The National Concert Hall and will celebrate a career including 1,350 songs and over 300 gold and platinum discs.

Speaking about the ‘Happy Birthday’ Tour, Nana Mouskouri said:

“After celebrating 50 years of my “White Rose of Athens”, I realized that:

• In 2012, it was 50 years since I worked with Quincy Jones and recorded my first album in New York.
• Last year, 2013, it was 50 years since “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” with Michel Legrand and 50 years since the Eurovision Song Festival in London with the BBC.
• This year, 2014, it will be 50 years since I worked with Harry Belafonte and had my first stage experience in the USA and Canada.

And since I had the chance to come that far in my life, I thought it would be worth celebrating, singing songs from my favorite composers and writers, for all my dear friends, the audience. Happy Birthday to all who have given me the answer that love still exists.”
“And as long as there is music for me and my friends, there is love!”
