Electric Picnic Wants YOU!
Well not you specifically, but if you own a 50’s caravan that is rundown or blocking up the garden or perhaps your neighbour owns one. Even if you don’t have access to a caravan the entry form ask if you might need a loaner. They are looking for artists to submit their concepts for ideas for the artistic concept creation to become part of the Trailer Park and create an experience for the festival revellers who will happen upon your creation randomly during the hazy days and nights of Electric Picnic 2014.
Stylist behind Trailer Park, Roz Jellett says, “Electric Picnic has always been head and shoulders above all the others for creativity, and now it’s the turn of its own audience to have a chance to be the creators. It’s all about participating, working behind the scenes, creating your own bit of madness, and looking after your own front porch. Those who are successful just won’t believe how much fun it is to work at the Picnic, it’s exhilarating and it’s a tonic for artists.”
You can enter here and grants are available in various sizes up to 2k and one bigger fund will be given to a particularly big or creative idea. The funds are for materials and not labour. Those who are selected will be given up to 8 tickets for applicants to host their venue.
Deadline for submitting your ideas is 28 February at 11:59am. Final decisions will be made and notified by mid-March.
