The Workman’s Club will host a fundraiser to help victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines on Wednesday the 27th of November in association with The Irish Red Cross.

Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on the 8th of November, leaving almost 4,000 people dead, 1,600 missing, 18,000 injured and about 4 million people displaced. The devastation is widespread and aid workers face huge challenges as they try to feed, shelter and provide medical care for those in need.

“Help The Philippines” will kick off around 8pm next Wednesday at the Wellington Quay venue, with performances from  Buffalo Sunn, Colour//Sound and as an extra special treat, Champagne Animal are even coming out of retirement for the occasion.

In addition to music, there will be raffles galore on the go, with prizes ranging from mixing sessions to clothes and make-up vouchers. There will also be lots of drinks promos, should you wish to avail of such a thing of a Wednesday.

Tickets will be available on the door for €7 or €5 for students.
