It’s back to adding to the lineup for the Westport Music Festival after the unfortunate cancellation of Nile Rodgers last week. However it’s good news this week as we are adding to the portfolio of acts joining the Westport Music Festival 2012.
If you’re not away, the festival takes place on the grounds of Westport House, in the heart of Westport, Mayo on Saturday June 23rd and Sunday June 24th 2012. Already on the lineup are the likes of Ray Davies, Jools Holland, Marc Almond, Seasick Steve, Imelda May, The Chieftains, Beth Orton, Lloyd Cole, Horslips, Damien Dempsey, Macy Gray, The Dubliners, Tom Baxter, Duke Special and Alison Moyet.
Joining the lineup are hot new beat band The Strypes, following the release of their acclaimed new album ‘Stop The Lights’ [Reviewed Here], The Wall will be over in Mayo. One of our favourite local acts Katie Kim will be there as will Briana Corrigan, Kopek and Electric Penguins.
Tickets are €75 for one day tickets and €130 for both days. Children under 12 are free if accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Junior tickets of €40 (one day) and €70 (two day) for 13-16 year olds can also be obtained.
