Busy day for the Westport Festival 2012 with the announcement of a host of great acts joining the lineup this year. Heading the additions are The Chieftains, followed closely by Marc Almond, Horslips, Beth Orton, Eric Bibb, Ryan Sheridan, Colin Devlin and Wallis Bird, Sam Amidon, Liz Lawrence, The Plea, Touchwood, Red Empire, Rhob Cunningham and Bronagh Gallgher.
The event takes place at Westport House on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June. The acts announced today join the likes of Jools Holland and Beth Orton, Ray Davies, Sea Sick Steve, Imelda May and many many more. Adult tickets are €75 for a one day ticket and €130 for a two day ticket. Teens are also very welcome to attend the festival and the organizers have introduced a very special discounted ‘Junior Ticket’ for young people aged between 13 years and 16 years. One day tickets are priced at €40 while a weekend ticket for 13 – 16 year olds will cost just €70.
