I’m thinking about starting a boyband, grand a few handsome fellows, hit the stage and see where it takes us because clearly there is a lot of money in this pop boyband lark. JLS and Take That and The Script are selling out pre-recession amounts of tickets in record times and extra dates keep getting added.

Westlife can well and truly count themselves in the recession proof boyband category with a fifth date at The O2 dublin  on Sunday 10th of April. The announcement came today at the Cheerios Childline concert. Their new album ‘Gravity’ is at number 1 and is out now so it’s not only ticket sales going well for the band.

Tickets go on sale Thursday 9th December at 9am, they will cost €54.80 from Ticketmaster.ie
