The Tommy Tiernan Show returned for a new season on RTE this weekend with appearances from Libertines frontman Pete Doherty and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh. However, the highlight of the show was a stunning tribute to late Cork musician Eoin French aka Talos who sadly passed away last August.
Icelandic composer Ólafar Arnalds and a host or Irish musicians including Dermot Kennedy and Niamh Regan paid tribute to the musician with a stunning performance of ‘We Didn’t Know We Were Ready’.
The band also featured Crash Ensemble cellist Kate Ellis, Ye Vagabonds, The Staves, Eoin’s widow Steph French and a host of friends.
Atli Örvarsson and Talos recently released the Sun Divider EP, the first of several projects which were completed prior to Eoin French’s death in August 2024.
