Villagers have unveiled a surprise new single “Mountain out of a Molehill” ahead of their European tour including 2 shows in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre in December.
“I see it as a kind of psychodrama; a song to quell that relentless attention-seeker within. It’s just some self-administered advice to me and my undulating ego,” says Conor O’Brien of the track which will be available as a 7″ AA single from December 6th, twinned with second song ‘A Matter of Taste’ – Pre-order here.
The new track comes hot on the heels of ‘Passing a Message: The Lyrics and Artwork of Conor J. O’Brien’ a full-colour hardback of the lyrics of over 80 songs from the Villagers songbook with Conor’s drawings, photographs and previously unseen notebook lyric drafts. Available to buy Buy here.
To coincide with the release of the book Domino has repressed the Villagers’ back catalogue with a new range of coloured vinyl. Available to buy here.
