It was the story that lit up the internet one fine afternoon. first, the video of Ryan O’Shaughnessy playing No Name on Britains Got Talent received massive plaudits around the internet, but also the backstory emerged which intrigued the watching nation.

The song was written about a mysterious friend (who’s identity has since been found by the ravaging media), detailing how he’s fallen in love with this girl. He wouldn’t name her in the clip and the track was aptly called #NoName. He went on to the Britains Got Talent final but didn’t manage to snag a win (it’s tough to beat a dancing dog) and revelations before the semi final and final unveiled a complex understory where Ryan had appeared on The Voice in Ireland and even though he was knocked out first televised round, was under contract to a record label and poor Simon Cowell had to negotiate him out of that contract for him to continue on the show.

Needless to say with all the social discussion about him, it would be folly to not strike while the iron is hot. Already he has the single #NoName ready to be released August 5th and then the self titled album on August 6th. If you want to pre-order for the album, you can do that on Amazon.
