Roisin El Cherif has released a video for her latest single Half A Life which premiered on GoldenPlec recently.

The Irish/Palestinian artist struck a chord with her debut single Keroscene produced by Gavin Glass and Scott Haliday.

Keroscene caught the ear of heavyweight producer Ken Caillat, who engineered Micheal Jackson’s ‘Bad’ and won a Grammy for his work on Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’.

Caillat invited El Cherif to LA to attend his ArtistMix songwriting workshop and Half A Life more than justifies her invitation.

“Half a Life came from feeling very low about loving but not living.” says El Cherif.

“Sometimes you can put so much into a place, a person, a job, a feeling or whatever floats your boat; to realise you are only living half of what you could be.

“Then doubts of who you are and what you want take over. It’s something I’m learning. What you want and what is meant for you, don’t always align.”

Half A Life is drawn from El Cherif’s debut EP set for release in June.
