We always have time for a charity event on GP and this is another such case where Tuam Arts Festival will host the Vibe For Glavo this year.

It will take place in a massive tent behind Rustic Vaults pub and will feature some cracking acts on the day long event. It takes place on Saturday 13th August for it’s fifth successive year raising awareness about suicide prevention.

On the lineup are local indie electro kids Young Kodiaks who perform at their first Vibe and they will be joined by Agitate The Gravel who will bring their Cork based shoegaze to the day. Next up is We Come In Pieces and Electro band Zombie Computer who are also another Cork act. The Depravations will also play on the day and are hotly tipped for a good year for the Galway indie-folk group. Finally is Brian Kelly’s power pop band So Cow.

Tickets for the vibe are €7 and can be purchased on the night. You can reserve tickets by emailing vibeforglavo@hotmail.co.uk. All monies raised go to a seriously good cause – i.e ensuring the continued viability of the Vibe. This is a non-profit event, it’s put on for the love of music and a good friend who is no longer around.
