Vernon Jane have shared the first glimpse into their third chapter with new single ‘Getting Bettr’, their first new music since the release of their second album ‘Chestpains and Sidepieces’ in October 2023.

“Get Bettr is a reflection of the guilt and shame sometimes felt with grief. Feeling guilty for becoming a better version of yourself without the person you lost being here to see it. Feeling guilty for moving forward and wanting to stay stuck in the same place in honour of the person you lost.” explains frontwoman

“Grief is the purest form of love but it can eat away. Staying totally stuck in the same moment, place, and feeling after losing someone can feel like the only way to show them you loved them so much, but slowly a realization comes that the best way to honour the people we have lost is to live our lives full of joy and love for both them and ourselves. Getting Better sounds so positive but just like all change it is so terrifying and who even knows what getting better really means, it does not happen all at once, and grief is something you never really get better from, the ache just dulls little by little but is always there.”
