One of our friends up north, Uber Glitterati, have today brought the sad news that they will be splitting up after 3 years together.
They sent us on their final song to share, it’s called Spoken Glass and is streaming below. If you like their music, their EP is still available on Bandcamp. It’s not all bad news as Elizabeth will continue on under a new moniker of Candy’s Eyes. Their final gig is on this Thursday 25th April in Menagerie Belfast, £5 in, doors 9pm with Uncle Social and Sins Of Flynn.
Here’s a little piece they sent us about the split.
“We, Uber Glitterati, are formally announcing that we are officially splitting up. It’s been a great run from our first gig in Summer 2009 but it’s time to call it a day. We both want different things, Elizabeth preferring live performance and Stevie more geared towards bedroom producing. Thanks to everyone who came to a gig or bought an EP. Elizabeth will still continue to make music under the moniker of Candy’s Eyes, a new acoustic folk-jazz project. We’re releasing our final single ‘Spoken Glass’ ASAP, stems of which will be available soon for budding remixers to give it a try. Send us the remixes and we’ll publicise them via Facebook and Twitter.”
