It’s another quiet week, what with it being January and that. However there is one gig which see’s three of the current power houses of Irish music come together for one unmissable show.
It could only be those lovely lads Two Door Cinema Club and friends. Hitting The O2 with a bang on Saturday night, support comes in the form of fellow Choice Award nominees The Cast of Cheers and last years winner Jape. It’ll be interesting to see how each of the acts work such a mighty venue but one that is sure worth the admission in. Speaking of tickets, they are no longer available, unsurprisingly considering they were a bargain at €28.
Other highlights this week include the following: Yorkshire chaps Asking Alexandria are playing an early show in The Academy tonight (Tuesday). Tickets for that one are also sold out. American folk singer Arlo Guthrie is finally getting around to playing his rescheduled date in The Button factory on Thursday. Tickets are €30.40 and still available. Finally, Paul Banks, possibly better known under his Interpol guise, is set to rock The Academy on Sunday night. Tickets are €30 and still available.
