Trocaire LiveIt sounds like there will be a crazy night of music and alternative acts playing in The Grand Social at the end of this month, a show perhaps that would not be advised missing, considering we are told there will be Nigerian drummers, Ugandan dancers and a Filipino guitar group all playing alongside some of Irelands hottest talent in the form of Fred, The Hot Sprockets and Katie Kim.

Dembe Troupe are your Ugandan dancers, Talking Drums will provide the Nigerian drums and Manila Rhythm will provide some Filipino thrilla. Also on the night will be Daniel Scannell, Groovement Soul will be providing the closing DJ set and the event will be MC’d by the charming Paul McLoone.  The night will kick off with the Nigerian folk drummers bashing away outside the venue while inside middle eastern food and laidback sounds will add to your nights ambience.

The event will take place in The Grand Social on Saturday 28th April 2012. Doors are at 7.30pm and the tickets cost €10 available from Entertainment.ie and certainly promises not only to be a gig with a difference, but a gig that can make a difference.
