This week’s Totally Irish Tip of the Week with Laura Keegan in association with GoldenPlec is Postcard Versions.
Postcard Versions are duo Ross Hamer and Paddy Ormond. They released their debut self-titled album earlier this month.
Postcard Versions is a ten track album full of breezy indie songs, heavily inspired by classic rock guitars and ’90s lo-fi influences garage bands. The LP was recorded in Ross’s bedroom over the course of two years, and the smooth, relaxed vibes on tracks like Sleeping & Waking lull you into a dreamy chilled out state with each song being as earnestly charming as the last.
The lads celebrated the release of the album with a gig at the Bello Bar two weeks ago, but with the news confirmed that they have already mostly written and recorded their second album, it seems we should have plenty more opportunities to see Postcard Versions live in the coming year.
