This week’s totally Irish Tip of the Week in association with GoldenPlec is M Shutak.

M Shutak is the musical moniker of Gregory O’Brien and Gary Morrison. The two are long time friends and collaborators who released their debut album The Windows House on Friday April 12th.

The Windows House is made up of five mostly instrumental tracks that are softly woven together. They meander gently bringing us on a listening experience akin to a walk out in the fields or down a quiet lane, soundtracked by a delicate piano and warm strings, occasionally punctuated by vocals and fuzzy electronics.

M Shutak’s album is the debut release on new independent label Wow & Flutter, which hopes to showcase acts creating electronic, ambient and atmospheric music. The Windows House certainly fulfills that remit and is being given a physical release by the label on cassette. Only 100 copies have been made and you can order yours now or download The Windows House on M Shutak’s Bandcamp.

Also on this week’s show we have music from the likes of Happyalone, Fears and Bokito.
