Oscar winning Artor and Director, Tim Robbins is making the jump into music at the tender age of 51, He has prepared his debut album for release and part of the promotion will be an intimate date in Whelans.
The Global star who was in films like Shawshank Redemption and Mystic river has been working on this for years, he had opportunities to write soundtracks to certain movies but has kept his creativity for his debut work.Though he’s no plans to end his movie career, Robbins admits there’s something about performing live music that makes it that much more thrilling than the silver screen.
The gig is in Whelans on Sunday September 26th and tickets cost €25 and are on sale now. They will also play at The Limelight in Belfast on Monday 27th September.
