Tim Chadwick has previewed his debut album ‘Pulverise’ which arrives on all streaming platforms and limited edition vinyl on August 9th with new single ‘Call Me When The Coast Is Clear’
The album title was came to Tim while making breakfast one morning when he noticed one of the modes on an old blender was “pulverise”. “It just looked and sounded so incredibly dramatic, over-the-top and so final,” says Tim before going on to state. “It’s kind of funny that we throw all these individually beautiful things inside this machine and then completely annihilate them in order to make something new. It’s an interesting concept, ‘destruction as a means to create and renew.’ Love can be very much like that at times.”
And so across Pulverise’s 10 tracks, Chadwick attempts destroy love, longing and internal struggle and create something even more beautiful in its place. The album’s progress mimics that of the food processor, starting off with a clap of dissonant angry sounds before slowly drifting into a smoother, slower, and colourful concoction.
Pulverise was written solely by Chadwick – bar Don’t Come To My Show which was co-written with Tim Ross – and produced by Seán Behan, The album was mixed by Grammy Award nominated Darren Heelis (Sam Smith/Calvin Harris) and mastered by Emerson Mancini (Grammy Award winning engineer to Lizzo, Paramore & Jon Batiste).
