Following the success of Live at Record Room Volume 1, which we reviewed here on Goldenplec, the producers behind the acclaimed vinyl compilation have announced that recording for Volume 2 will begin later this month at the Catherine Street venue.

Curated by venue proprietor Eoin ‘Rocky’ O’Shea alongside Richard Dowling of WAV Mastering, the new compilation continues the mission to capture the current pulse of Limerick’s ever-evolving music scene.

Live at Record Room Vol. 2 will spotlight original work by some of the city’s most exciting artists including Annie Cheevers, Emily Panter, God Knows, Japanese Jesus, Joyce, Meadhbh Hayes, Mother of Pearl, MuRli, Redwood, Sean O’Meara, The Labourers & Zkellies.

The Vinyl Sessions will be recorded over four consecutive Thursdays starting 28 August with three acts performing live each night. One track from each artist will be selected for inclusion on the limited edition vinyl, which is set for release at Limerick’s Merch and Record Fair at The Commercial this December.

The Vinyl Sessions schedule runs as follows:

  • Thursday 28 August: God Knows / MuRli / Mother of Pearl
  • Thursday 4 September: Sean O’Meara / The Labourers / Meadhbh Hayes
