Ireland’s love affair with IDLES will continue next summer when the Bristol act play their first Irish outdoor headliner in the Iveagh Gardens this July. News of the show will come as great news to fans who missed out on getting tickets for their upcoming sold-out show in Vicar st next April.

The group’s rise on the back of their critically acclaimed second album ‘Joy As An Act Of Resistance’ is phenomenal. Their October show, originally set for Whelan’s was upgraded to The Button Factory and subsequently sold-out (read our review here) and demand for their date at Vicar Street was such that the band now find themselves booked into a 4,000 capacity venue, having been booked into a venue 8 times smaller just two months ago.

Idles at the Iveagh Gardens on 11th July. Tickets €35, go on sale this Thursday 20th December at 9am and will be available from usual outlets.
