Christ the C word must be on the horizon because they’d started to announce shows for next year. California’s The Growlers will grace the stage of The Button Factory in Feb 2020.

The sextet have just released the title track from their upcoming eight album ‘Natural Affair’ produced by singer Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Matt Taylor. The group had previously worked with Julian Casablanca of  The Strokes.

“A lot of our songs were coming out on the darker, more sentimental side, so we decided to make something more upbeat,” says Taylor. “We all took a break, watched a documentary on Spandau Ballet, and wrote this riff that sounds a bit like ‘The Groove Line’ by Heatwave. More disco and energetic, just trying to keep it funky.”
