Swedish musician Axel Willner and band, a.k.a The Field, has announced a live set in the Button Factory, and will be joined by the Irish Shit Robot on Sunday May 5th 2013 for a double headline gig.
Since the release of their latest album in 2011, ‘Looping State of Mind’, the band have shown a development of the sentiments of second album ‘Yesterday and Today’, with use of its organic instrumentation – piano, synthesizer, bass guitar, acoustic drums, steel drums, and vibraphone, amongst other instruments – and focuses on the themes of memory and reptition.
Shit Robot is the brain child of Irish DJ Marcus Lamkin, one of DFA Records‘ top electro DJ’s. His debut album released in 2o1o, featuring contributions from Hot Chip‘s Alexis Taylor, received rave reviews.
