Tessa Rose Jackson and Cork songwriter Caoilian Sherlock have announced a joint tour of Ireland on the back of their recent collaboration ‘Sad Duet’ taken from Tessa Rose Jackson’s collaborative EP ‘A Mirror Sometimes’.
Named after their track The Sad Duet Tour takes in 5 shows in the rebel county throughout August. The track emerged from a chance encounter when the pair where snowed in during a storm at a studio in Dublin. That meeting sparked the creation of Sad Duet, a reflective, slow-burning track capturing the emotional spontaneity of their collaboration.
“Writing ‘Sad Duet’ with Tessa and Darius in the middle of a snowstorm in Dublin was really special; three strangers finding a shared voice while we hid from the wild Irish weather. I’m thrilled we get to bring that moment back to life on a new tour and revisit those songs together in some of the most beautiful rooms in Ireland,” recalls Caoilian Sherlock.
“There’s nothing more special than playing music live to people in new, welcoming locations. Especially in such an intimate set-up. It’s going to be such a celebration of collaboration, music and connection and we can’t wait to play!” adds Tessa Rose Jackson.
