And then there was 16!
It’s all heating up in the Tennent’s Lager Untapped event as the submissions have been whittled down and only sixteen acts remain and have been chosen to play at a series of showcases. The judging panel listened to 250 demos since the call for entries back in March and only these few remain.
They will play in front of audiences at the live showcases in Belfast and LondonDerry in May and and two of the shortlisted band will be chosen to open the main stage at Tennent’s Vital 2012 for either the Foo Fighters/Black Keys/The Minutes or Th Stone Roses/Florence/Rod Y Gab.
