Temple House, situated near Ballymote in Co Sligo, is a classical Georgian mansion set in a private estate of over 1,000 acres, overlooking a 13th century lakeside castle of the Knights Templar.    Temple House has been home to the Perceval family home since 1665.  Temple House is a historic home offering luxury country house accommodation, plus a self catering cottage that sleeps 8.  Visitors will find on-site boating, coarse fishing, bird-watching, terraced gardens and miles of woodland walks.  Within easy reach are beautiful beaches, eagles flying, archaeological sites, horse riding, surfing, trout fishing and four championship golf courses.   Temple House is a member of the Hidden Ireland group – where one can stay in a historic private house in Ireland.   www.templehouse.ie

The Temple House Festival 2012 will hope to build on the foundations of the previous two years and really set itself apart from the other small festivals and perhaps.

On February 17th 2012, The Temple House twitter account tweeted out that unless a miracle occured there would be no 2012 edition of the festival. We wait now to see if something can be pulled out of the bag
