Musicians Tara Nix and Anna Murphy aka T.A. Narrative have announced the launch of their own label SASP Records, with a commitment to supporting emerging artists and celebrating the rich musical heritage of Limerick.

The critically acclaimed duo are aiming to nurture local talent, and connect artists with audiences worldwide, building on their own experience of over 20 years in the music industry.

The first release on SASP Records perfectly illustrates their ethos. ‘Remember They Love You’ is the debut EP from Emily Panter, an in-depth examination of memory, the impact of childhood experiences, and the intricacies of adult life.

As Panter herself states about her debut release: “These songs revolve around trying to navigate challenges with mental and physical health whilst growing up. But it’s not all darkness; there are moments of joy and persistence in the face of it all. Songs like Burn Till Brand New encapsulate happy places we carry with us, while Birds and the Bees speaks to the enduring spirit of nature and human endeavour.”

It’s a confident collection of tracks by Panter, blending moody, distorted guitar with captivating, esoteric vocals, and more than a hint of shoegaze, and grunge permeating throughout.

Panter’s impressive debut will be launched with a SASP Records event in the Record Room of The Commerical Bar in Limerick on April 18^th, which will feature an exclusive EP listening party.
