A dose of romance is probably just what’s in order right now, and London based Irish artist Niall Jackson aka Swimmers Jackson has delivered just that with his hazy new track Bliss.

Jackson is one of the busiest musicians around, playing with several bands including Bouts and Sweat Threats as well as his solo outings. On top of this, Jackson also hosts The Irish Jam, flying the flag for Irish music in the UK.

When I released Bliss it was just before everything changed. As it started getting played on the radio, I realised the song – and everything I thought it was about – was being heard in a new light given recent circumstances,” explains Jackson.

Several DJs said it was ‘calming’, ‘a breath of fresh air’, or ‘meditative’. With that in mind, I heard it differently myself and set about finding footage of beautiful images which both soothe and relax while still tying in with the track: nature, transience, destruction, pressing reset, season’s change.”

‘Bliss’ is taken from ‘Murmuration’, the debut album from Swimmers Jackson, out Fri 8th May on Wonky Karousel Records – pre-order here.
