This year sees the inaugral outing for Swell Music & Arts Festival which runs from 11th-13th July on Donegal’s Arranmore Island.

Swell Festival, which will also form part of this year’s Earagail Arts Festival, is a not for profit music and arts festival which has been developed by a team of like-minded individuals from the Donegal music and arts scene and looks set to be one of the events of the summer in the northwest.

The festival will have 3 stages – the Dave Muldowney Stage, the Ardan na Fia Arts Stage and the Bluestacks JamClub stage which will provide open mic opportunities all weekend. The Dave Muldowney Stage will see the likes of Belfast songster Duke Special, In Their Thousands and Wood Burning Savages while on the Ardán an Fia stage there will be a massive selection of poetry, spoken word, live art, DJs and a host of other fun activities.

Festival goers will also be able to avail of some other great opportunities over the weekend, with electric bike hire on land and kayaking, sailing, RIB rides & banana boating at sea.

Swell Festival is located at the Arranmore Holiday Village about 1km from the ferry port.

You can find out more from the festival website and purchase tickets & camping at  www.swellfestival.com.
