County Derry’s Stendhal festival is set to go ahead this year with a lineup featuring acclaimed acts such as Beoga, Lyra and Joshua Burnide. The award-winning festival had taken place at its Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady location every year since 2008 up until the pandemic put a stop to the 2020 event going forward.

Trad act Beoga are set to headline the first day of the festival following the release of their ‘Breathe EP’ earlier this month. Watch the video for title track ‘Breathe’ below:

The second day of Stendhal Festival will be headlined by Cork electropop artist Lyra – whose music has been featured in both Grey’s Anatomy and Love Island.

Despite mass gatherings being still prohibited in Northern Ireland, festival director Ross Parkhill is confident that the event is on track to go ahead.

“We remain confident, now that the timetables for reopening across Northern Ireland have become clearer,” said Parkhill.

“Once beer gardens and hotels open up, we believe that camping and entertainment fields should be a very natural next step, particularly now that discussions regarding pilot events will be opening up
at Stormont, hopefully within days.”

Stendhal Festival is set to take place on 9-10 July 2021, tickets are available here
