Sprints launched our Plec Picks ones to watch feature series in style yesterday and the Dublin quartet have illustrated exactly why they got that nod with the release of thunderous new single Little Fix.

Plagued by insecurities, imposter syndrome and gender stereotypes, Little Fix is the culmination of all my fears – the, sometimes, self applied pressure that as a woman in music I can’t just be good, I have to be great.” explains singer Karla Chubb.

“I feel like I am in a constant state of proving myself. That no matter what I achieve, learn, write, play or sing, there will always be a critic, a voice in the crowd or in my head telling me that it’s still not good enough, that there’s a million men out there who are better and I’ll always just be “good for a girl”.

Little Fix is the third track to be drawn from the post-punk outfit’s second EP ‘A Modern Job’ which finds the group once again working with Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox behind the desk on production duties. The 6-track EP which features singles Modern Job How Does The Story Go? is set for release via Nice Swan Recordings on March 11th.
