Spirit of Folk Festival 2013 comes to Meath this September for an all-nighter stretching from 2pm until 1pm the following day.
If that sound like a marathon session, then fear not – a three course folk-themed feast will keep the stamina up for a plethora of activities that includes storytelling, archery, living history, all night fires, the Hall of Heroes games area, midnight strolls, astronomy, shamanic drumming, as well as many activities to nourish the heart and soul. The celebrations will go long into the night and culminate in the burning of a specially crafted wooden phoenix.
Qualifying rounds for the Spirit of Folk Awards will be held during an all-day event in Whelan’s on the 31st of August.
Ticket price includes camping, and you can find out more on how to get involved over at www.spiritoffolk.com
