The Spirit of Folk festival is set to steal the claim to the festival that closes out festival season by establishing itself in the Meath countryside this year in September.

The festival will be taking play September 23rd to 25th making it the latest festival going on and most definitely running the weather gauntlet. The event will take place on the grounds of Dunderry Park and will mix live music from established and up and coming acts alongside games, folklore, astronomy, art and spirituality which gives it a nice eclectic mix of events over the weekend. Archery, Falconry, Battle re-enactments and storytelling all will play a large part and there will be a Mind, Body & Soul area.

Music wise we will have Fiach, Lisa O’Neill, Rhob Cunningham, The Young Folk, Owensie, The Hot Sprockets, St John The Gambler and more. Campsite is nice and close to the main festival area were told and the event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze). The festival is also a charity event with all profits going to Oaktree Charitable trust who run Dunderry Park, so attending is actually a good deed!

Tickets are €95 for a weekend camping pass and €59 for saturday only. Kids under 12 go free and tickets can be bought online from Tickets.ie
