22 bands were chosen to perform at Guinness Amplify Live Stages on Thursday 26th February and ELM were one of those bands and were awarded studio time as part of Guinness Amplify.

The band were busy recording their new EP and were joined by Johnny Quinn of Snow Patrol (of the Amplify expert panel) to offer advice and guidance to the band. Not your average day in the studio.

Johnny Quinn said “I’ve really enjoyed being involved in Guinness Amplify over the last few months. The idea that many bands can benefit from recording time and advice from industry professionals is something I’m all for. Having listened to over 800 songs I’m really impressed with the quality and output of the unsigned artists. I’ve met with artists and bands in the studio and their talent bodes well for the future of Irish music!

So what next for ELM? Well they’ve got a new video coming on March 1st and it’s a video on a subject very close to their hearts. They will be taking part in the Amplify Session in the Roisin Dubh on February 26th as the FREE shows take place across Ireland.

Finally they are hoping to get the new EP into our grubby little mitts mid April all going well.
