Saturday 5th June see’s Snow Patrol and special guests General Fiasco, Band of Horses and Lisa Hannigan play in Ward Park in Bangor. We have been sent on Stage Times and some useful information by MCD so we thought we’d put it up incase any of it is useful for you all.

HOW TO GET THERE AND HOME:

On Foot
The concert is in Ward Park on the playing fields between Broadway and the Gransha Road.
·    The gates open at 4pm.
·    Entrance gates are off the Gransha Road.

BY RAIL AND BUS
Translink will be operating special rail shuttle services from Bangor to Belfast following the concert and onward connections by rail to Carrickfergus, Lisburn, Coleraine and Portadown.

In addition, Ulsterbus will operate return services from Newtownards, Derry, Omagh, Coleraine, Armagh, Newry and Belfast.

RAIL SERVICES
A half hourly service will operate from 0900hrs from Great Victoria Street / Belfast Central to Bangor throughout the day.

Concert Shuttle Services from Bangor to Belfast will run following normal scheduled services. Trains will operate following the concert from approximately 2245hrs, continuing to approximately 00.45hrs. Express services to Belfast as well as all-stops will run subject to demand.

A special concert day return ticket  between Belfast and Bangor will be available priced at £12 and can be pre-purchased from the Translink website.

Onward rail travel from Belfast to Carrickfergus, Lisburn, Portadown and Coleraine is also available from £15.  Advance bookings are essential.

Only customers holding late night concert shuttle service tickets and a valid boarding card will be permitted to travel on the special services after 2230. Both must be shown at ticket barriers or on request.

Tickets are non-refundable and do not guarantee a seat. Season tickets (including annual, monthly, and weekly) are not valid on any of the late night concert trains.

Customers should be advised that Special Return / Single Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and are limited.  Single tickets sold on the day will be priced the same as the special concert day return fares.

Translink do not permit passengers to consume alcohol on rail services and those presenting themselves for travel, who appear to be intoxicated, may also be refused travel.

BUS SERVICES
There will be Special Shuttle services from Bangor to Newtownards after the concert finishes priced at £3 single.  The normal £4.10 return fare will be available for anyone travelling on the No.6 service from Newtownards to Bangor.  Return tickets will be valid on the shuttle services. This is a cash fare only available on the day.

Ulsterbus will also operate special online Snow Patrol coaches from various areas across the network:  L’Derry, Omagh, Coleraine, Armagh, Newry and Belfast.   All return services depart Bangor at 2315hrs. Tickets should be pre-purchased from the Translink website

By Car
If you are traveling to Bangor by car please follow the signposts to the designated car parks.
Never ever drink and drive. Do not drive if you think you are too tired to do so.

Park & Walk
Park & Walk facilities have been identified throughout the town and they are:
·              Upper Valentine Playing Fields entry via Abbey Hill Drive (weather permitting)
·              Bloomfield Road Playing Fields entry via Bloomfield Road beside Lidl (weather permitting)

There will be a £5 parking charge per car at these sites. All funds will go to charity.

Guarantee a parking space at the Flagship Centre
The Flagship Centre car park are offering a pre bookable service for £5. Contact Flagship Centre 028 9145 6700.
Please park vehicles in the car parks provided. There are temporary road closures and resident parking restrictions in place.
Please don’t leave valuables in your car and lock it up.

Car Share

THE SITE
The gates open at 4pm.

Food & Drink
You are NOT permitted to bring food or alcohol on to site. You are permitted to bring a plastic bottle of water on to site with the lid removed.

There is a selection of food stalls serving a variety of food and drink on site. A number of bars located around the site serving alcohol to over 18s only.
Please bring proof of ID to show you are over 18.

USEFUL INFORMATION:

Security Searches
You may be searched by stewards at the entry points to the site. Please do not attempt to bring illegal substances on site.
Disabled Customers
Disabled tickets holders can be dropped off at the entry on Broadway. All vehicles must display a disabled badge.
Lost Property
All lost property should be handed in to Bangor PSNI.
DOs
·     Dress appropriately for the weather.
·     Co-operate with stewards and PSNI and follow any loudspeaker announcements for your safety.
·     Respect the property and privacy of residents in the vicinity of Ward Park.
·     Note that bar and catering facilities are available inside the venue.  Photo proof of age is required for the purchase of alcohol.
·     Note that official merchandising will be available inside the grounds only.
·     For your own, and the safety of others, please move slowly and quietly when exiting the concert venue and co-operate fully with the PSNI and stewards.
·     Arrange pick ups in the town centre due to road closures around the site.

DON’Ts
·     Park illegally.
·     Buy tickets from unofficial sources.
·     Bring umbrellas, garden furniture, flag poles or alcohol, cans or glass bottles into the venue. These will be confiscated at ticket barriers.
·     Crowd Surf, Mosh or Pyramid Build as you will be removed from the venue, without a refund.
·     Bring cameras or recording equipment into the venue.
·    Rush the exits after the concert.
