The winner of the first annual Choice Music Prize Classic album award is ‘I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got’ by Sinéad O’Connor

The judges describe the album as being “a stunning body of work by an Irish artist, scorching with originality in songs that are as resonant today as they were more than 30 years ago.”

It has been confirmed that Sinéad O’Connor will be in Vicar Street on Thursday to collect the prize.

The judges for the prize are:

Stuart Clark (Hot Press)

Paul Russell (2FM) as the non-judging chairperson.
