Arguably one of the greatest songwriters in the world right now Sharon Van Etten is set to bring her Darkness Fades Tour to Dublin’s Vicar Street this June.

News of the tour has been accompanied by the release of new track Porta which in Van Etten’s words, was written “at one of my lowest lows. For most of my adult life I have struggled with bouts of depression and anxiety and coping mechanisms, and I sometimes let those dark moments get the best of me. During this time I felt very dissociated. Not connected to my body and I felt out of control.”

Sharon Van Etten will be supported by Brooklyn multi-instrumentalist L’Rain on the Dublin leg of the tour.
