The Sea Sessions 2013 juggernaut is powering back up after a long hiatus. A well earned hiatus as the wind and rain battered the coast, fun and games were had at the surfing competitions and musical talent, that saw bands like The Strypes and Raglans and Delorentos really put on supreme shows.
This year it’s a step in a slightly different direction, last years headliners of Happy Mondays and Kaiser Chiefs will be fond memories as festival organiser Ray O’Donoguhe explains ‘This year, the festival is going back to its roots. “I think anyone who’s come to the festival over the years knows the festival delivers a great line up. If there’s been a theme to this year it is to try and steer away from anything overtly commercial and go for the sort of acts that suit the event‘.
So who can you expect to see down at Sea Sessions, well the festival have lined up New Zealand’s big name Fat Freddy’s Drop. Who says you, well they are a seven piece reggae/soul/funk act. They will be in Fundoran on the Saturday night headlining.
Tickets for Sea Sessions 2013 are €89 for a weekend ticket for the event which takes place on 21st – 23rd June 2013. Tickets are available through Entertainment.ie and SeaSessions.com. Full lineup to be announced in March.
