A tribute to journalist Eugene Moloney will take place in Whelan’s on 24th of June. The show will feature performances from The Lost Brothers, Julie Feeney and Andy Irvine, Liam O Maonlaí, Joe and Steve Wall, Saramai, Pete Cummins and more.
The date will mark the second year anniversary of Eugene Moloney’s death, when he was assaulted on the streets of Dublin when walking home. As a lover of music Eugene got to know and work with many musicians through the years, some of whom are getting together for the tribute night in Whelan’s.
The night is organised by Eugene’s relative Oisin Leech of The Lost Brothers. It’s held in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust, helping young homeless people in Dublin. Tickets are €15.
