Irish comeback kings Sack have shared a vibrant video for the latest single to be drawn from their excellent album ‘Wake Up People!’ which was released earlier this year. ‘I Fell Through A Crack’ is a rallying call for the return to a more empathetic society which respects the right of everyone to exist without fear of being attacked for being different.

“An ode to those people in life who dare to be different even if it means resisting constant harassment, both verbal and physical. We must constantly watch out for the vulnerable in our society, especially those who are victims of bullying, whether in person or by state institutions,” explains guitarist John Brereton.

‘I Fell Through A Crack’ was partially inspired by a road traffic accident which left John Brereton clinging to life, requiring multiple operations across several months in hospital. The long-term stint in hospital had a profound effect on Brereton’s world view.

All of these things are brought to life in a video directed by by Stephen Lohan which sees the band undergo a Spitting Image-esque makeover. Sack will celebrate the release of ‘Wake Up People!’ with a headline show in the Button Factory tomorrow (Sat Nov 23rd) Tickets €23.00 here
