GRAMMY and BRIT nominated Irish singer-songwriter RuthAnne has shared a deeply personal new single, The Way I’m Wired, which sheds light on the realities of living with endometriosis and chronic illness.

“I wrote ‘The Way I’m Wired’ during a really bad endo flare-up. I was keeled over on the bed, and through tears, I voice-noted the chorus.” explains RuthAnne.

“That day, I had to cancel a writing session with an artist who had flown me abroad to collaborate because I was too sick to move. Over the years, I’ve had to cancel work and social events due to my health conditions, and I realized I had never truly written a song about the battle I’ve faced with endometriosis and adenomyosis for the past eight years.

“This is the most vulnerable and honest song I’ve ever written. It’s not about being a victim or seeking sympathy—it’s about telling the truth, breaking the stigma, and admitting, ‘this is just the way I’m wired.’”

alongside the new single RuthAnne has also announced that she is set to release her debut book, It’s Not Just a Song a guide for aspiring songwriters, featuring insights from industry heavyweights and candid discussions on navigating the music business as a woman.
