Fresh from the success of recent EP ‘Read The Room’ featuring American radio hit ‘Are You Okay?’, Californian songwriter BEL is set to make her Irish live debut in Whelan’s this May.

Currently on tour in America with Cold War Kids and set to hit the road with Bailen straight after, Bel real name Isabel Whelan has just released double A-Sided single Nos Despedimos/Window Shopping which sees her mixing English and Spanish together in song for the first time.

The artist who was raised in the small town of Clovis, just outside Fresno has built a reputation for her observational songwriting across 3 EP’s and standout collaborations with the likes of Boyish, Girlhouse and Gatlin.

‘Are You Okay?’ reached number one on SiriusXMU last Spring and Bel hasn’t looked back, capitalising on the success of the song with a string of appearances on the American festival circuit and now she’s ready to break into the European market with Nos Despedimos. Her mini UK/Ireland tour will be followed by an appearance at The Great Escape in Brighton this May.

BEL, live at Whelan’s Upstairs, Dublin 11th May 2024. Tickets from €16.45 including booking fees on sale from Friday, 22nd March at 10am from singularartists.ie
