Richard Ashcroft (The Verve) has been announced as support to Liam Gallagher at Malahide Castle this summer.

The Brit Pop veteran is best known for the hits Bitter Sweet Symphony and The Drugs Don’t Work, but you can expect to hear songs from his solo albums, including 2016’s ‘These People’ which featured the singles Hold On & This is How it Feels.

Gallagher is also joined on the bill by Liverpool’s Louis Berry.

Gallagher has previously stated that he’d like Oasis to reform and tour with The Stone Roses and The Verve. However, something tells us this will be as close as he gets for a while.

Ashcroft and Berry have also been added to the line-up for Gallagher’s Belsonic gig on June 16.
