The new single from Dead Red Light pitches close to the likes of Kings of Leon with a triumphantbass line that seems to remind me of the likes of Miracle Bell. The sparing use of the guitar createsspace as the rhythm section takes over, tight as ever. The vocals seem to take a Punk approach fromthe likes of the Sex Pistols as the vocal tones seem raw and scratchy. It’s clear that these boys arefrom Limerick, as the chorus vocal melody begs me to shout, “Thats Limerick City.”

The transitioninto the chorus creates energy within in which I have to dance as much as possible. The song wasdefinitely made for the main stage of summer festivals; it reminds me of how excited I get aroundfestival times and the atmosphere of main stage Oxegen. The song breaks down after the chorus andreturns into another verse whilst the percussion slowly builds. Another chorus transitions throughand I find myself knowing the lyrics already.

Catchy.Overall, it’s a great single but at times I feel the vocals can be a little piercing. I look forward tohearing from these lads again.
