It’s a stressful time of year for most people. Be it Leaving Cert, College exams or those forever looming deadlines there’s something about about May that makes it seem never ending.

I was sent this EP a few weeks ago to review and, due to assessments, presentations and exams it has taken me this long to give it a proper listen. Ciaran Lenehan’s debut EP ‘It’s Never Too Late’ has been a breath of fresh air to my ears, if you’ll pardon the mixed metaphor. The 3 song EP, ending with the beautiful ‘Wake Me Up’ which reminds me of David Kitt who is my favourite Irish singer songwriter is easy-listening at its easiest and is sure to bring a smile to your face. The first song, ‘Too Late’ is my personal favourite with a catchy singalong chorus that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head for days if not weeks.

The second song on the EP, ‘You Stole Today’ is available to listen to on Soundcloud. If you like what you hear then I recommend you head down to  The Lower Deck, Portobello on May 20th for the official launch.
