Hi All, Just a reminder that Saturday 17th April is International Record Store Day, a celebration of independently owned music stores around the world.
Road Records have put together their limited edition annual Record Day compilation CD featuring 15 tracks from the shops favorite Irish artists of the moment. Only 200 copies will be pressed, with last years 100 copies selling out by lunchtime. In addition, Road will have Record Store Day Exclusive vinyls available, the full list here.
All the participating Irish record stores registered with the Record Store Day organisers are listed here, including Tower Records, Soundceller, e2 Music in Mullingar and Third Wave Music in Sligo
With the loss of numerous Irish independent record stores over the past year, they need you support more than ever, so contact your nearest store and see if they are participating, you might get you hands of some limited edition quality records!!!
Update: Tower and Road will have live performances tomorrow to celebrate the occasions, while Citydiscs will have cake!
