We are King Modo, a 5-piece original band from Co Kildare.
// You’ve been posting a series of live videos for King Modo tunes recently. What’s the idea behind this concept?
Doing live videos helps us improve as musicians and at the same time makes a song available for people to hear.
// Who are your favourite Irish artists at the moment?
At the moment, it’s New Secret Weapon.
// We love what we’ve heard from King Modo so far, but we’re thirsty for more. When might we expect a new release?
As soon as we get our new recording equipment we will be releasing an album about a month later.
// King Modo’s sound is interesting as it manages to straddle both laid back and heftiness at once, with a lot of different sounds and influences mixed in. What do you guys like to listen to the most in your downtime?
At the moment it’s Led Zepplin, Snarky Puppy, Chris Thile and Donal Lunny.
// The last text message you sent is your next album title. What is it?
